FLOORSTANDING BASE DESIGN
Sound Anchor Bases for Floor Standing Speakers are available in three basic designs and can be configured to fit a wide range of speakers. Since they can be configured in so many ways it is important that we know exactly what you need before we start work. Each base is designed specifically for the application.
The style and configuration of our custom bases is ultimately determined by the person that is buying the stands. We have a good idea of what works with which speakers for which applications. Besides having a list of manufacturers recommendati ons, we keep notes on the feedback correspondence that our customers give us so that we can fine tune the design and make educated recommendations to our customers
Stability is our primary concern when we design a base. We size the base of the stand to match the size of the speaker. Aesthetics also plays a part in our base size determination .
Here's what we need to know when we set out to design a Custom Sound Anchor Speaker Base:
1. Width and depth of the speaker bottom.
2. What style base do you want? (cradle, platform or tee)
3. Does the speaker have threaded inserts on the bottom?
4. What size are the threads?
5. Do your speakers have a removable wooden base or plinth?
The drawing below shows the dimensions that we need to make a base that fastens to the bottom of the speaker. The dimensions are given a letter so that you can give them to us in table form.
