The Sound Anchor Four Post Speaker Stand has been recently redesigned to improve both looks and performance. We now use 4 members of solid 3/4" steel bar to support instead of 3 members of 1/2&q uot; bar. This places more mass up close to the speaker where it presents the most resistance to speaker movement. Speakers placed on this stand exhibit better all round performance than they do on any other stands that we have ever tested

Sound Anchor Four Post Speaker Stands are handcrafted in the USA. They are made of 14 and 16 gauge steel tubing along with the 3/4 in. solid steel bar. They are pre-filled with special materials to make them acoustically dead. This adds mass and ensures that they will not add any sound of their own to that of your speaker. They are spiked at the floor to enhance stability and mass loading. The interface between the speaker and the stand is four of our special blue dots. Sound Anchor Four Post Monitor Stands are finished in attractive light textured black. This finish does not attract undue attention and blends into most living spaces well.

HOW TO DESI GN YOUR FOUR POST STANDS
As stated above The Sound Anchor 4 Post Monitor Stands can be configured to fit a wide range of speakers. Since they can be configured in so many ways it is important that we know exactly what you need before we start work. Each special order 3 Post Stand is designed from the top down step by step.
First we design a top to fit the speaker .
Next we determine the height.
Finally we size the base
The top of The Sound Anchor 4 Post Monitor Stand is usually sized slightly smaller than the speaker bottom. We do this for two reasons:
1. Performance, anything that extends beyond the edges of the speaker particularly in front and to a lesser degree to the sides near the front will produce edge diffraction's that will color the sound.
2. Aesthetics, the system does not look good if the stand top is bigger than the speaker bottom.
How tall we make any Custom Sound Anchor Stand is ultimately determined by the person that is buying the stands. We have a good idea of what works with which speakers for which applications. Besides having a list of manufacturers suggested stand heights we keep notes on the feedback correspondence that our customers give us so that we can fine tune the design and make educated height recommendations for a particular speaker.
Stability is our primary concern when we design a stand base. We size the base of the stand to match the size of the top and height. A tall stand for a small speaker will usually have a larger base than a shorter stand for the same speaker to make it more stable. A short stand might have a base that is only slightly larger than the speaker. Aesthetics also plays a part in base size determination.
